Students, staff and families are reminded that help and resources are available to support our mental health when we are coping with stresses, feeling distressed or experiencing a crisis.
Halton Community Mental Health Resources:
Students can speak with a trusted adult, including a teacher, Educational Assistant, Social Worker, Child and Youth Worker, school administration or school Guidance Counsellor
HDSB Mental Health & Well-Being resources for parents/guardians and students provides information, strategies and identity affirming supports and counselling resources from wellness to crisis supports
OneStopTalk A free, immediate and confidential service for children, youth and their families. Click the "Start the Conversation" button or call 1-855-416-8255. Service is provided Monday-Friday 12-8 p.m. and Saturdays 12 - 4 p.m. When you reach out you can instantly connect with a registered therapist by phone or video. Together, they'll help create a plan to help you feel better.
