Burlington Central School has a long standing reputation as a leader in innovation and modern practice. Students are immersed in high tech programs within the walls of a historical site.
Burlington Central School is a grade 7 to 12 English and French Immersion elementary and secondary school located in Burlington, Ontario of the Halton District School Board. We are 918 students strong as of September 2019. The current school building was constructed in 1922 and has been added to extensively over the years. The last major addition was made in the 1965, which added a new technical wing and gymnasiums. Extensive school renovations continue to take place throughout this school year.
As a community school, BCS enjoys strong parental support and involvement and close community partnerships. We celebrate the rich cultural diversity of our school population and welcome learners from all over the world.
We are a proud eco school, with the Ontario Ecoschools Gold Level Standing since 2014 and Silver Standing since 2009.
